We're Number 1!

Not only did we win the World Series but St. Louis was also named "The Most Dangerous City in the Country" I would like to give a big round of thanks to everyone that made this possible, we couldn't have done it without you.

Yes, most dangerous city - thank a few of the idiots we have living here still! Why can't we go door to door with Missouri Natinoal Guard like they do in Iraq? You know... it's called "democracy" there.. so it must be democracy everywhere. Oh.. but wait.. our National Guard is too busy in Iraq providing security and going door to door there to help us here at home. Thanks GW!

Why do you hate America so much?
Submitted by rexdixon at 10/30/2006 9:54:10 AM
I don't hate America. I love it, but I hate the administration in charge. They have made America look like low life dirtbags to the rest of the world.

I love America, I served my time in the military, have my HONORABLE discharge, and followed my orders to the letter. I don't at all HATE America.

I can't stand the morons in office in Washington DC.. the main one can't even speak a complete sentence without it being on a piece of paper in front of him, and then he STILL F**K's it up!

Morons that never served, or more like never did their time. No, I don't hate America - I hate the fact that we have idiots in Washington DC that don't belong there.

It's a very sad state of affairs, and the rest of the world is laughing in our face!

    Rex "Love's America, Hate's the Administration that doesn't know it's head from it's A$$!"

Not to bring us back on topic or anything, but Quitno's methodology is wildly inaccurate to say the most. I've got a meeting but I'll update on that later today.

No one should take Quitno's report at face value. Read their website and find out how they came up with their answers. It's a flawed system. Hopefully Rev will explain it later. Or you can spend the money to buy their report. What a nice money making scheme! You have to applaud Quitno for having one heck of a PR department, too. Even with a flawed system, all the media outlets jump on their results each and every year. And keep in mind, the St. Louis result is a top headline right now because of St. Louis winning the World Series. Quitno's timing of releasing the survery was very well played. In a few days, this will all blow over anyway, so who cares.

I agree -- Quitno's company has about as much credibility in this field as Quizno's... At least one of the two companies can make a decent sandwich.

But hey, since we're thanking the folks who made the whole "most dangerous city" thing possible, you're welcome. Now give me your car.

The sad part is that I have noticed this too. I would certainly like to continue by coupon clipping, but its not happening when they disappear. But then I have the pick of my neighbors 10 newspapers currently on their driveway. Maybe one of them have some?

I have had difficulty contacting the host for the next round, so I am going to try one other person who volunteered, and otherwise, I'll host again. Obviously the month of July will be skipped and we will resume in August.

Once in a while it happens to us. One of the main reasons we even get the weekend paper is for the coupons. There have been a couple of times we haven't even gotten the inserts. But all I've had to do is call the PD and they've always gotten a new copy out to us.

If you want to check out Costco, you can be my guest anytime. Just shoot me an email.

They have their own Kirkland brand of diapers and I've used those with both boys and LOVE them. They are soft, stretchy and we've never had a leak problem. Plus, CHEAP!

Thanks for all of your replies. Yes, I am serious. I don't usually shop at the bulk stores because I can't stop myself from buying too much of what we don't need, so I do shop all ads and use my coupons to help cover my cost of taxes at the store that has the best deal. Sam's does not sell huggies Gentle Care brand either. We don't have a membership at Costco so I don't know what they sell. I'll have to see if we can switch to Costco if the savings are really better and they sell our brand of diapers. Can I do a one day pass there? Yes, I tried the other brands except for Luvs and my daughter leaks through them.
I'll give my kudos to The Post Dispatch. They answered my call today and were very very nice about replacing the coupon section that was missing(2nd set of coupons in this weekends paper). She even told me that I was not the only one reporting this in our zip code. So I do think the thieves are out there. Our paper is delivered at 4 am or so and believe me, in the city you will find people walking around that time of night / day (usually up to no good). Life for so many other is tragic, but I try hard to make life more compatible by saving money on taxes by using manufacturer coupons. Sorry if this got your goat, but in today's economy, saving anything off my grocery and or clothes bill is a must.

I think that maybe there was only ONE set of coupons in this week's paper!
