We're Number 1!
Not only did we win the World Series but St. Louis was also named "The Most Dangerous City in the Country" I would like to give a big round of thanks to everyone that made this possible, we couldn't have done it without you.

at 10/30/2006 9:54:10 AM- I don't hate America. I love it, but I hate the administration in charge. They have made America look like low life dirtbags to the rest of the world.
I love America, I served my time in the military, have my HONORABLE discharge, and followed my orders to the letter. I don't at all HATE America.
I can't stand the morons in office in Washington DC.. the main one can't even speak a complete sentence without it being on a piece of paper in front of him, and then he STILL F**K's it up!
Morons that never served, or more like never did their time. No, I don't hate America - I hate the fact that we have idiots in Washington DC that don't belong there.
It's a very sad state of affairs, and the rest of the world is laughing in our face!
Rex "Love's America, Hate's the Administration that doesn't know it's head from it's A$$!"

at 10/30/2006 11:22:28 AM- No one should take Quitno's report at face value. Read their website and find out how they came up with their answers. It's a flawed system. Hopefully Rev will explain it later. Or you can spend the money to buy their report. What a nice money making scheme! You have to applaud Quitno for having one heck of a PR department, too. Even with a flawed system, all the media outlets jump on their results each and every year. And keep in mind, the St. Louis result is a top headline right now because of St. Louis winning the World Series. Quitno's timing of releasing the survery was very well played. In a few days, this will all blow over anyway, so who cares.

at 10/30/2006 12:06:28 PM- Here's the discussion we had three years ago about these stats.
It should be noted that one month later, St. Louis reported the lowest homicide rate since 1962. However, somehow, we were still the #2 most dangerous city.
(Amazingly, I can't find any discussions about the 2004 and 2005 reports.)

at 10/30/2006 4:45:36 PM- I agree -- Quitno's company has about as much credibility in this field as Quizno's... At least one of the two companies can make a decent sandwich.
But hey, since we're thanking the folks who made the whole "most dangerous city" thing possible, you're welcome. Now give me your car.

Yes, most dangerous city - thank a few of the idiots we have living here still! Why can't we go door to door with Missouri Natinoal Guard like they do in Iraq? You know... it's called "democracy" there.. so it must be democracy everywhere. Oh.. but wait.. our National Guard is too busy in Iraq providing security and going door to door there to help us here at home. Thanks GW!
