are you missing your coupons out of your St. Louis Post Disptach?

Is anyone else out there in the St. Louis region having problems with their Sunday ads missing one if not both of the coupon sections ? I got the Redplum coupon section 7/13/08, but it looks as though someone took my paper out of it s sleeve and tried hard to sneak the other set of coupons out because the were messy about it and left the 1/4 of the last page of the coupon on there... For example, did you get a coupon book that included coupons for viva paper towels? and what about coupons for huggie's, pull-ups, good nights...etc..... I need my diaper and wipes coupons dang it. If the paper is delivered early before I wake up, then someone must be coming down the street and snatching the good coupon pages. I NEED THOSE FOR OUR family!  Paying full price for a pack of diapers for our daughter is hard enough, that 1.50 coupon can make a huge difference over time. I love my coupons. Ok, Monday morning I'll be on the phone with the Post to see what their distributors did with the 2nd set of coupons for the paper this week or did we really get robbed of our coupons while the paper sat outside on my 4th step of my porch? on that note, does anyone have any good valid huggies diaper coupons? come see me over at my blog tomorrow.

Assuming you're actually serious, if your paper is missing or messed up, call the PD as soon as you discover the problem. If it's early enough in the day, they will bring you another, or give you a credit on your bill. We used to have lots of trouble with missing papers back when we lived in apartments....

On a side note about the coupons. Diapers are much cheaper at Sam's Club then anywhere else, regardless of coupons. I've cross-checked with Target, Walmart, BRU, groceries, drug stores etc. I think our last box of Pampers size 3's (160? count) was like $32--Target will sell you 80 for $20. They carry Huggies & Pampers & their private label Parents Choice brand (never tried them..I'm afriad to buy that many diapers and have them all leak...yuck). I've no afiliation with Sam's, am just addicted to buying in bulk.

We don't get the paper, but we do get the redplum coupons in our mail. So maybe I need to start buying the Sunday paper for some additional savings. Indicative of the state of the economy that people are resorting to stealing coupons...

I'm a Costco shopper myself. In my experiences with both the service at Costco is significantly better.

I'm looking forward to the completion of the new Costco at 141/Manchester.

Obviously, there's a thriving black market for PD coupons.

We're gonna have to pull a Laurence Fishburne and go all Deep Cover to get some answers.

I think that maybe there was only ONE set of coupons in this week's paper!

I hear you! I buy my paper at the gas station and always check for my coupons.

Thanks for all of your replies. Yes, I am serious. I don't usually shop at the bulk stores because I can't stop myself from buying too much of what we don't need, so I do shop all ads and use my coupons to help cover my cost of taxes at the store that has the best deal. Sam's does not sell huggies Gentle Care brand either. We don't have a membership at Costco so I don't know what they sell. I'll have to see if we can switch to Costco if the savings are really better and they sell our brand of diapers. Can I do a one day pass there? Yes, I tried the other brands except for Luvs and my daughter leaks through them.
I'll give my kudos to The Post Dispatch. They answered my call today and were very very nice about replacing the coupon section that was missing(2nd set of coupons in this weekends paper). She even told me that I was not the only one reporting this in our zip code. So I do think the thieves are out there. Our paper is delivered at 4 am or so and believe me, in the city you will find people walking around that time of night / day (usually up to no good). Life for so many other is tragic, but I try hard to make life more compatible by saving money on taxes by using manufacturer coupons. Sorry if this got your goat, but in today's economy, saving anything off my grocery and or clothes bill is a must.

If you want to check out Costco, you can be my guest anytime. Just shoot me an email.

They have their own Kirkland brand of diapers and I've used those with both boys and LOVE them. They are soft, stretchy and we've never had a leak problem. Plus, CHEAP!

Once in a while it happens to us. One of the main reasons we even get the weekend paper is for the coupons. There have been a couple of times we haven't even gotten the inserts. But all I've had to do is call the PD and they've always gotten a new copy out to us.

The sad part is that I have noticed this too. I would certainly like to continue by coupon clipping, but its not happening when they disappear. But then I have the pick of my neighbors 10 newspapers currently on their driveway. Maybe one of them have some?
